We will have our second list of words very soon to start the second part of the pictionario. Remember: this pictionario will be a project by the month of May. You will compile all the pictionarios to make just one.

Lunes / Monday Jan 31 Make a calendar with activities scheduled for the month of February week and write sentences at least 10 using time expressions (DUE ON WED FEBRUARY 2)Example: Yo voy a visitar a mi abuela el domingo 6 de febrero.

Martes / Tuesday February 1 Study verbs for the quiz

Miercoles / Wednesday February 2nd Make sure you have the 10 assignments complete and corrected for the Portafolio revision

Jueves / Thursday February 3rd Study for Unit test next week (Wed February 9th)

2. PORTAFOLIO

Please be ready with your Portafolio this week. I will be starting checking on Thursday February 3, 4 and even on Monday February 7 if I haven't finished. MAKE SURE you have your portafolio with you when you come in to the class. NO PASS to get the portafolio. These 10 assignments need to be organized base od the date that the activity was done from 1-10, completed and corrected. Each one of these activities has been corrected on the board. I assume you have made corrections. NO MAKE UP FOR PORTAFOLIO. (See syllabus)

3. QUIZ : VERBS

As you all know, we will have a verb quiz this coming Wed on February 2nd. Periods 1-5 you have only 8 verbs. Period 6 you only have 10 -ar verbs. Remember to be quiet during the quiz. No talking at all.

We will continue working on topics like sports, extend /accept/ refuse invitations, and new verbs. And for 6th period we will continue working on topics like: Subject pronouns, verbs (ar) and school subjects.

* Pictionario: Students need to turn in the pictionary on Thursday January 27 at the beginning of the class.
Remember the following requirements:

1. 20 words: You have the list of the vocabulary. Chapter 1. There are more than 20 words. Choose from that list the 20 words. Now you can use some other words related to the topic however some words from the list ( I gave you) need to be used.

2. Organize them in alphabetical order
3. Clear handwriting
4. Complete information (sentences, definition (tranlation) No full definition of the word)
5. Use verbs and vocabulary seen in class
6. Neat and colored pictures
7. Turn in on time
If you don't follow these requirenment I will NOT accept your pictionario. There will be NOT make up for this assignment. You have received copy of the pictionario on January 5 (first week of the second semester) No excuse for not having the model. If you need a copy on that, please see below (JANUARY 19)

*QUIZ 1 VOCABULARY CHAPTER 1
There will be a vocabulary quiz. We have practiced this list of words during the entire week. We will continue reviewing the first 10 minutes on Monday and Tuesday.
There will be 5 ways to have this quiz:
A. Dictado (spelling)
B. Translation
C. Write a sentence
D. Categories
E. Oral spelling.
****IMPORTANTE: If you talk during the quiz, I will NOT accept your quiz. You will get ( 0 ). You need to be in silence the entire time we are taking this quiz.
