What does Black History Month mean to you? To me Black History Month is not just another month; to me it means freedom, respect, opportunity, sacrifice and satisfaction. As an African American girl, I appreciate the hard work and dedication put into this month. As we go into this month I am glad that we take the time to recognize our leaders. Have you ever heard of the saying “40 acres and a mule”? Well, If you have you know it is not much. But we took that 40 acres and a mule and ran with it. Rubric was handed to the students last Friday January 29.Presentations will start on February 25 - May 6 2016. Sra Garzon will present her project on Monday February 8 so you have an idea what she is expecting from you all.

ZooBurst is a digital storytelling tool that lets anyone easily create his or her own 3D pop-up books.

Once constructed, books can be inspected from any angle from within a 3D space, and rotating around a book is as easy as dragging and dropping a mouse. Each character can have its own 'chat bubble' that pops up when that character is clicked. In addition, authors can also record their own voices using the ZooBurst audio recorder to have their characters really 'speak' when clicked!
