SEMANA 27: DEL 30 DE ENERO AL 3 DE FEBRERO - WEEK 27: FROM JANUARY 30 TO FEBRUARY 3 2017

IN MEMORY OF OUR COLLEAGUE AND MEMBER OF OUR SMS FAMILY : MS. NORWOOD: You will be missed. You were always kind.

What does Black History Month mean to you?
To me Black History Month is not just another month; to me it means freedom, respect, opportunity, sacrifice and satisfaction. As an African American girl, I appreciate the hard work and dedication put into this month. As we go into this month I am glad that we take the time to recognize our leaders. Have you ever heard of the saying “40 acres and a mule”? Well, If you have you know it is not much. But we took that 40 acres and a mule and ran with it. And here we are today.

Here are some of the remarkable statements that students wrote about this great leader:

Let's answer these questions about MLK's life:

1. ¿Cuándo y dónde nació MLK?
3. ¿Dónde estudió MLK?
4. ¿Quién fue la esposa de MLK?
5. ¿Quién inspiró a MLK?
6. ¿Qué premio ganó MLK en 1964?
7. ¿Cuándo y dónde fue asesinado MLK?
8. ¿ Cómo se llama su discurso memorable?
