SEMANA 11: DEL 21 AL 25 DE OCTUBRE - WEEK 11: FROM OCTOBER 21 TO 25 2013


C L O S I N G  H I S P A N I C   H E R I T A G E  M O N T H:
Cultural- Exchange- Fiesta: Hispanic Heritage Month Cuisine on Thursday October 24 at Cougar Community Hall
We were celebrating the Hispanic Heritage Month during September 15 to October 15 and as part of this celebration we had some activities in class like projects, discussions, videos about famous people, mariachi, Lunfardo –special slang, songs and etc. As closing of this celebration we will have a Closing – Cultural- Exchange- Fiesta: Hispanic Heritage Month Cuisine on Thursday October 24 at Cougar Community Hall. I really appreciate all the help parents are doing making this experience enjoyble. I also hope my students have a good time.  
PROGRAM

* Dance: La Cucaracha: Kennedy, Alexandria, Empress and Ariel 8th grade

* Song: Casey- 8th grade

* Poem: Adenike- 8th grade

* Presentation: Puerto Rico - Xavier 6th grade

* ... y mucha comida: pupusas, tamales, archota, empenadas, chips / salsa and etc.

·         8th graders will continue with oral presentations
·         ***Unit Evaluation for 8th grade Periods 2,3+5 Wednesday October 23***
·         Fiesta:  Thursday October 24: Please go directly to the Community Hall on the first floor
·         Unit 2 will start on Monday October 28 for 8th graders periods: 2,3,5
·         Cover sheet HHM 2014 There are 6 contestants for the prize to be the one chosen. We will have the winner by Thursday October 24
