El Día de San Patricio se celebra anualmente el 17 de marzo para conmemorar el fallecimiento de San Patricio, Santo patrón de Irlanda. Es una fiesta nacional en la República de Irlanda,

El Día de San Patricio se celebra a nivel mundial por todos los irlandeses e incluso por gente que no tiene ascendencia irlandesa. La celebración generalmente tiene por temática todo lo que es verde e irlandés; cristianos y no cristianos celebran la fiesta regularmente vistiéndose de verde, disfrutando de la gastronomía irlandesa la cual incluye alcohol y bebidas irlandesas, y asistiendo a desfiles. En algunos establecimientos se vende cerveza teñida de verde para la festividad.

Saint Patrick's Day or the Feast of Saint Patrick is a cultural and religious holiday celebrated annually on 17 March, the death date of the most commonly-recognized patron saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick.Celebrations generally involve public parades and festival and the wearing of green attire or shamrocks. Christians also attend church services, and the Lenten restrictions on eating and drinking alcohol are lifted for the day, which has encouraged and propagated the holiday's tradition of alcohol consumption.

Saint Patrick's Day is a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Newfoundland and Labrador and Montserrat. It is also widely celebrated by the Irish diaspora around the world; especially in Britain, Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand.
