Parents and students, thanks for the food and items the good behavior during the Closing of the Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

Students: if you are interested in making –up any missing work, the due date to turn in it is Monday December 7. After this date I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY MAKE UP WORK.

IMPORTANT DATES / FECHAS IMPORTANTES

* As indicated on the grading timeline, Friday, November 6^th ends the 2^nd 4 ½ week progress reporting period. All grades should be posted by 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 9^th. 
however I will be posting on Sunday November 8th. So please do not expect any change in your grade on Monday.

* Monday November 2: We will start our second cultural unit: Celebraciones. You will get the cover page and we will fill out it with the objective and Essential Question.

* Monday November 2 -Project Presentation:

Dia de los Muertos: while students are presenting their project, the rest of the class is taking notes: ¿Que? ¿Cuando? ¿Donde? ¿Cómo?, Vocabulario (5 words minimun) and Dibujo (picture)

* Wednesday November 4: Second  and last session for working on the project with your partner. Please be mindful about the time.

* Wednesday November 3: Presentation: La cucaracha, o el trabalenguas el coco o your own song with the endings in Past

* Quiz # 6: Preterite (Past) regular verbs: Wednesday November 11.

* Some students have not turned in their Cultural Unit 1: Hispanic Heritage Month. It was due last Thursday, October 30. It would be graded as late assignment. It needs to follow each of these:

1. The first thing you need to do is to answer the essential questions of the unit. 

2. You will do the self- evaluation of the unit at the back of the front page.

3. You will write the name of each assignment in front of the number at the back of the cover page.

4. You will check each assignments as complete (10 points) , incomplete (5 points) or you did not do it (0 points). I hope you are honest with yourself

5. You will score (total) according to what you have checked in instruction 4

6. Each assignment needs to be numbered at the top of the page or next to the assignment.

**Students, You have to write and answer "Trabajo Inicial" daily. This is part of the class assignments. I will collect this at any time for grade.***  No make-up for Trabajo Inicial. Remember: you need to come in to class, take your "portafolio", sit down and  write: Date + Instructions + answers. (Sorry no time for socializing) ***REMINDER: WRITE YOUR NAME WHEN YOU TURN IN PAPERS

Jueves/ Thurs.:Portafolio: Practice Past: page 173 ex 6, and 9

Viernes/ Frid.: Project presentation: 12 de Octubre: 1st Period: Chris and Hunter 2nd Period: Bennett and Christopher 3rd Period: Angelo and Omar 4th Period: Juan Carlos 6th Period: Elizabeth

HW/Tarea #10: You will get a copy of a graphic Organizer on Monday Nov 2: You will conjugate 4 verbs in preterite/past. Sra. Garzon will give  you more instructions on Monday It is due on Friday Nov 6: visitar / vender/ recibir/ vivir
