Sra. Garzon has given the rubric about this project last Friday September 23. Students have chosen who they want to work with on this assignment. They also have the name of the celebrations. Here the dates for presentations:

1. Inti Raymi: September 28 / 29 Sra. Garzon's presentation

2. Dia de los Muertos: October 28

3. Feria de Malaga: November 3

4. Dia de la Independencia: November 4

5. El 12 de Octubre: November 10

6. Carnaval: November 11

7. Las Fallas: November 17

8. Semana Santa: Noviembre 18

9. Cinco de Mayo: December 1

10. Dia de Simon Bolivar: December 2

12. Quinceanera December 5

13. Cumpleanos (for some classes): December 6

While students are presenting their project, the rest of the class is taking notes for the Cultural Unit: Celebraciones: ¿Qué?  ¿Cómo?  ¿Cuándo?  ¿Dónde?, Vocabulario (5 words minimum) and Dibujo (picture)

PRACTICA ORAL DIARIA:

We will keep  practicing the short dialogues. So far we have 1-4. Click on pages: Practica oral diaria for the actual conversations.

TEST # 2 CULTURAL UNIT: MES DE LA HERENCIA HISPANA

Students will have Test #2: about the Hispanic Heritage Month on Tuesday October 25. The use of Portafolios is allowed during the test. The student must have his/her own portafolio. No sharing.

Students, you will be turning in your Portafolio Cultural Unit during week #14. You will need to have it complete:

1. Answer Essential Question

2. Write the assignments at the back of the page 1-10

3. Number each paper with then assignment number

          5 Pts - Incomplete

          0 Pts - None
